Making Her Dreams Come True: The Making of Bellesa’s Rebecca & Ramon

Bellesa Films

Ramon and Rebecca by Bellesa Films

Don’t allow her super cute, girl next door looks fool you. Beautiful Rebecca Vanguard is a super smart businesswoman and content creator who also delivers sexy, empowered and uniquely arty performances in high end XXX features. She is also a woman with a fantasy–a dream that this modern day Cinderella realized with the help of a powerful Fairy Godsister–herself a guiding force in the arena of feminist porn.

Recently Rebecca wrote Bellesa House director Jacky St. James a long letter that detailed a favorite sexual fantasy; one starring an acclaimed porn stud, that she yearned to bring to life in the form of a hot XXX movie produced at Bellesa, an iconic feminist adult studio.

The Prince Charming in this dirty Cinderella story is legendary performer Ramon Nomar, a classically handsome seducer often considered a favorite among female fans and performers alike.

The Bellessa House scene “Rebecca & Ramon” is most literally a fantasy on film; a movie that translates the desires of its starlet most literally “to the letter.” Jacky St. James directed this scene, in which Rebecca both rims and receives anal intercourse from Ramon Nomar.

OK, so that particular plot diverges a bit from the ‘ball and glass slipper’ motif; but hey, it works.

“It was incredibly unique. It wasn’t just about working with Ramon, but also about how she wanted to give him a rim job. She was very open about her desires and it was incredibly refreshing – someone who just put their fantasy out there in the hopes of turning it into a reality,” said Jacky.

“Ultimately, it was up to Rebecca and Ramon to make the scene what they wanted in the moment. I booked the location and coordinated with Ramon (ensuring his comfortability with the fantasy) and the rest was in their hands. When someone wants to bring a fantasy to life, less involvement by a director is important. Choreographing a fantasy makes it feel forced and at Bellesa we want the performers to be their most authentic selves. Sometimes that means that the fantasy does not translate perfectly – but giving them the freedom and space to explore is what is critical.”

Ramon, say Jacky and Rebecca, was excited to assume the role of Rebecca’s subject of desire; to, indeed, be wanted so much by such an enchanting woman. And the feeling was mutual.

“Ramon is a busy guy and I’ve never worked with him. As a sex worker, I’m a provider and a consumer, and I’ve always liked him,” said Rebecca. “He likes anal, a lot of guys aren’t into it. Plus I have a thing for accents–hot foreign accents–and his is Spanish/European. And he seems open to everything that a lot of guys have stigmas about.”

Oh, and The Feminist Sexpert must add (because, well, I am The Feminist Sexpert), the dude is just really, really hot. See pictorial evidence of this point above, as provided by Bill William Compton, CC BY-SA 3.0 , via Wikimedia Commons.

Rebecca compares her letter to Jacky St. James as a missive written to Santa–one that fulfilled her deepest wishes. Only it was Ramon’s lap on which she ultimately sat.

“Female porn is the brand for Bellessa, which provides a film format for women, so they can finally talk about and find out their desires, and not feel like weird perverts. It’s passionate, intense, I’m into it,” said Rebecca. “I wrote a letter to Jacky because it’s more creative to write descriptions for scenes, a story–letting my imagination run wild.”

And the results, says Jacky, were nothing short of sizzling.

“Rebecca was very shy at first, which I expected. She had been attracted to Ramon for a while and therefore her shyness felt incredibly real and natural. Whenever a scene for Bellesa House happens, it’s always magical and unique and different than anything we’ve seen before because these people have a story and a reason they are being paired together,” she explained. “Ramon took the lead (as he often does) which helped Rebecca become more comfortable and give her the confidence to explore her ultimate fantasy.”

And that, says Jacky, is always the mission behind her work.

“I want every person who arrives to set to feel both safe and comfortable. The environment we create at Bellesa is one where people are encouraged to speak out, to share their do’s and don’ts, and to have a truly enjoyable and connected experience with their scene partner,” she reveals. “Empowering the performers to select their scene partner is a part of that. It eliminates a lot of the unnecessary stress a performer might feel, let’s say, if they are paired with a complete stranger or someone they’ve never met.”

Rebecca calls this scene “everything I thought it would be and more” and a definite career first–but knowing this spunky feminist, it won’t be a last.

With just a little more than two years in the business, Rebecca has shot scenes for Evil Angel, Jules Jordan, Brazzers, Girlsway, Pure Taboo, Twistys, Wicked Pictures, Zero Tolerance, MOFOs, Nubiles, Bang Bros., PervCity, Throated, Kink.com, Reality Junkies, Swallowed, and more. Rebecca has scored multiple coveted nominations including Best New Starlet from the NightMoves Awards and Porn Star Live Cam Performer of the Year from the Cammy Awards. She has also nabbed tons of Spank Bank Awards nods, and in 2019 won Most Servile Sub of the Year and a technical award as Badlands Becky. Rebecca has been featured in Hustler and Xcitement, as well as mainstream sites Input, Vox, and Medium.

As a content creator, Rebecca seeks–not only to realize her own vision–but to spotlight the talent and beauty of other women as well. Check out her niche site pukeonmybush.com and brand new 4K glamour porn site Tru6lack (pronounced True Black) tru6lack.com showcasing Black women. And find her doing live feature shows on Cam4 cam4.com/vanguard.

“I love it when other girls who are performers comment, “I love this idea, cool.” I like to appeal to the female market. I’m not competitive versus other girls,” she said. “Porn attracts naturally outspoken women, although others may tell us to just shut up about it. I encourage other women to be outspoken, confident, give it a shot.”

In Rebecca’s eyes, all women are beautiful and deserve their time in the spotlight.

“I work with BBW performers, trans performers, women of all colors….I believe in making a girl feel good about herself, glamorous. I hire a makeup artist, have a nice location, I make her feel special,” she said. “This is my own content. Being a female performer, I know male talent, I edit my own stuff, I learned to do video, lighting, to the point where I am making a good product.”

Keep up with everything in Rebecca’s world. Follow her Twitter @rebeccavanguard and Instagram @rebeccavanguardofficial. “Rebecca & Ramon” can be seen at bellesafilms.com/scene/4463591/rebecca-ramon.

On a personal note: As Rebecca is an awesome sisterfriend, I can’t be jealous of her, overmuch; even so, I can’t help but be a little envious that The Feminist Sexpert doesn’t have the luxury of writing a top feminist porn director when I want some sexy time with a favorite hunk. However, Jacky St. James tells me this:

“The best advice I can give anyone is not to think or talk about what you want – but to actually pursue it. If you want to work with someone – tell them, or tell Bellesa House. If you want to write a porn, write one and then try and pitch it. Dreams cannot happen in reality without action.”

OK, so now The Feminist Sexpert is hearing strains of the old Pointer Sisters ditty “Should I Do It?” going through my head. Should I write my own lusty letter? My own smexy script? Decisions, Decisions, Ladies….stay tuned!

Force of Nature: The Feminist Sexpert Interviews Goddess Lilith

If one was to look up the phrase kickass woman in the dictionary, one would probably find a beautiful photo of Goddess Lilith–an esteemed and revolutionary singer on the metal scene who also shines on the adult scene as a woman to be reckoned with–and the Feminist Sexpert reckons that we ladies need to support Lilith as She embarks on yet another leg of Her auspicious musical career.

This award-winning, internationally renowned, and bicoastal Dominatrix, Luxury Mistress and Fetish Model, Certified Life Coach, Reiki Master, and Author Goddess has made a name for Herself as lead singer of the goth metal band Sorrowseed, which rocks audiences around the world–as powered by one of the mightiest and unmistakable female vocalists on today’s music scene.

Now Lilith begins an exciting new phase of Her career as the lead singer of MURTAIR, a heavy metal band ready to release a five-song EP that inspires listeners to thrash with its hard groove and electronic elements. Her fans, slaves, and supporters are encouraged to support the band’s Kickstarter campaign, where funds raised will cover the vocal recording, mixing, and mastering the EP, artwork, printing 250 limited edition EP, digital distribution, and camera rental and location costs to make the music video.

“Murtair is more brutal than Sorrowseed,” She said. “This EP is about taking back what has been taken.”

In essence, though, Goddess Lilith’s music always has told the stories of survival. Demeter’s Reckoning, a cut from the Sorrowseed recording The Extinction Prophecies, tells a tale of ethereal revenge, in which a goddess of the earth and seasons takes vengeance for the abuse of our environment.

“When I think about it, it’s all interconnected,” She said. “The way we treat the environment, the way we treat women. We should take better care of them.”

Lilith is a woman with a lot to say–and She generally sings it. Goddess Lilith is, in fact, a classically trained vocalist who holds a Liberal Arts degree with a focus in dramatic arts from Harvard.

“I’ve been singing since I was a toddler,” reveals Lilith, who plays piano, guitar and other instruments. “I always wanted to imitate my heroes.” These heroes range from Nirvana to Joan Jett.

Goddess Lilith now has many fans of Her own, both in the musical sphere and owing to Her role as a premiere dominatrix.

“I’ve always liked to lead men around on leashes, so why not do it professionally?” She said with a smile. “I’ve always been dominant in my personal life.”

She has graced the pages of Hustler’s Taboo and Malevolent, AltStar, Beckett Online Gamer, ASN Lifestyle, and 420 zine Skunk magazines.

Goddess Lilith has received many accolades, including Footnight International’s Most Captivating and Fascinating and Top Trampler Awards, as well as Best Female Cam Performer at the 2018 and 2019 Fetish Awards, and Fan Favorite Alt Visual Arts Book of the Year from the 2021 AltPorn Awards. She’s also scored numerous nominations from Fetish Awards, Footnight International, AVN Fan Awards, XBIZ Cam Awards, Fleshbot Awards, AltPorn Awards, YNOT Cam Awards, and Fetish Awards.

On-screen work, teaching, and event organizing reign as Her true passions. In 2018, She introduced New England’s first recurring FemDom Event ExaltedFemdom.com and hosts foot worship parties newenglandfootfetishparty.com.

She also enjoys gaming on twitch.tv/LilithAstaroth. Learn more about Her at goddesslilith.com. Buy Goddess Lilith’s eBook How I Make Bank as a Foot Model (And You Can, Too!) on Amazon amazon.com/dp/B08RHR3TJK/r and Gum Road gumroad.com/l/jxzKb.

Goddess Lilith says that She has faced blowback in the music industry, both because of Her strong persona and Her career in the adult industry. Yet nothing stands in the Goddess’ way; and in the future, this force of nature stands to take the world by storm.

“I want to teach much more in the future,” She said. “And I want to be of service to women.”

Let us now serve the Goddess by supporting The MURTAIR Kickstarter campaign. Goddess Lilith welcomes pledges in any amount. Backers can choose to get no perks and give generously to the project or pledge $5 or more to get an EP. Funds raised beyond the initial goal will go towards merchandise and a second music video. Basking in the Afterglow: Interview with Lilly Sparks, CEO of Afterglow

A take charge woman instructs her handsome lover on just how she’d like to be pleased. He more than willingly obliges her, catering to her innermost desires and fantasies as he goes down on her–all the while playing up to her as he indulges and satisfies her every need. You can see it all in the porn film….

Wait, wha? This is a porn film? Yep–there is actually an award-winning hardcore film that features no penetration, just lots of lady lovin’. It’s called Lip Service, and it’s the production of afterglow, a company “where women’s pleasure comes first.”

A woman- and couples-geared website that features tasteful sensual visuals, erotic stories, and films like the one mentioned above. This porn site….

Wait, wha? This is a porn site? Yep. It’s afterglow, the place where you can see Lip Service and other positive, couples-oriented films that educate as they entertain.

afterglow is the creation of entrepreneur Lilly Sparks, who considers afterglow her true and literal passion project.

“I was always a big fan of romance novels, where I could read about the sex I wanted to be having, but wasn’t,” she said. “I turned to porn, like many do, but didn’t find what I wanted.”

So Sparks decided to make her own porn.

“I envisioned porn that could inspire lovers,” she said. “Visual explorations that are sensitive, that show a holistic view of sex.”

Sparks and her team set out to create something different.

“We wanted to create a holistic view of sex,” said Sparks. “We wanted to take the stigma out of porn by producing ethical material.”

The result of this vision? afterglow.

“Founded in 2020 by entrepreneur Lilly Sparks, afterglow is the sex-positive, pleasure-focused platform and community shifting the adult media paradigm. Curating stories, igniting conversations and offering premium video and written content centered on sexual fulfillment, afterglow empowers everyone to become experts in their own pleasure,” read a related news release. “Paving the way for a future we want to live and star in, afterglow is an adult site for those 18+ with original, licensed content behind a paywall, and free sex-positive articles. Normalizing sex and porn in a modern world, afterglow is the sex resource we all need.”

Beyond producing positive material, afterglow prides itself on ethical creative processes.

“We make our talent feel comfortable,” she said. “They can say yes or no to anything. They can stop at any time and take breaks. And we have snacks for them.”

Something else The Feminist Sexpert likes: These films feature plenty of deep kissing and eye contact, and feature performers who really seem to dig each other.

Aside from producing their own XXX films, which also include the award-winning U Up? and Cravings starring alt porn stud Mickey Mod, and showcasing classy, elegantly appointed beauty films like Timeless Affairs 3, and more, as well as showcasing erotic fiction at their site, afterglow is eager to showcase classic erotic films such as their recently acquired creative inventory of Inpulse Pictures and Lennox Films. “The new deal will include distribution of eleven groundbreaking films produced by feminist trailblazer Nina Lennox,” read a related news release, “who famously set the standard of erotic cinema that caters to the fantasies of women and couples.”

“In seeking consultation for afterglow, I spoke to Nina Lennox,” said Sparks. “Her vision was so similar to mine, and she was so helpful.”

It was in fact the Inpulse/Lennox acquisition that first drew my attention to Afterglow. As a longtime fan and proponent of Inpulse/Lennox Films–some of my favorites include Erection Services starring Julian, about a male bordello for women, Anticipation, a star vehicle for Dale Dabone, and Snapshot starring Evan Stone, about hot male models seducing female photographers and crew members–I came to realize that there was literally nowhere online to purchase these titles, produced in the mid 2000s.

But now, Inpulse is back. And Afterglow is here. We lady porn fans have a lot to ‘anticipate.’

Afterglow has very kindly offered my no doubt incalculable fanbase at Feminist Sexpert headquarters a gift for a free 14 day membership….just signup at xoafterglow.com and use code FEMINISTSEXPERT. Thanks, Lilly!

Giving Us the Feels: The Feminist Sexpert Interviews Ken Feels

With his dashing good looks and regal demeanor, stunning Ken Feels may look as though he just stepped off of the cover of a historical romance. Yet this is a thoroughly modern gentleman on a mission to help women everywhere realize their fullest erotic and sensual potential. Doncha just love it?

Along with beautiful partner Barbie (yep! XXX has its own answer to Ken and Barbie), Ken Feels is the co-administrator of All the Feels, an unbeatable team of trained sexperts and dating/relationship coaches.
“We’ve designed content to inform, entertain, and equip you with the knowledge and skills to achieve dating/relationship satisfaction, sexual gratification, and real love through personal growth, empathy, and sex-positivity,” reads a site description found at https://www.allthefeels.us/.
“AllTheFeels is a multimedia platform that caters to different goals, desires, relationship statuses, and levels of experience and confidence. We want to empower individuals and couples with the necessary tools to navigate the ups and downs of single life, the challenges that arise in relationships, and fulfill your sexual needs and desires via honesty, self-reflection, vulnerability, openness, confidence, and direct communication.”

Through group classes and one-on-one coaching, plus some very hot–oh, and instructional–videos covering virtually every aspect of pleasure and sexuality, All the Feels more than lives up to its name. And yes, the multitalented Ken assures us that he can deliver an oral sex tutorial while simultaneously performing the act. Ladies, can you deal?!

“Sex is the reason that we’re all here, but our culture shames our sexuality,” Ken attests. “We should be free to explore our desires and fantasies, to determine what feels good to ourselves and our partners.”

Ken and Barbie are particularly vocal on the subject of female sexuality.

“Women are shamed for expressing themselves sexually. This needs to stop, women must have agency,” he said. “Adult entertainment in particular needs to show the ways that women are truly pleasured, through G-spot, squirting and clitoral stimulation for example.”

I’m the Feminist Sexpert, and I approve this message.

Ken is proud to report that part of his and Barbie’s adult sex education training was derived from valuable courses taken at our own Loveology University, stating his admiration for our guide and goddess, Dr. Ava Cadell.

And while the Feminist Sexpert is proud to count Ken and Barbie as fellow Sexperts, she must admit that she first discovered Ken in a slightly different setting: the frames of a XXX adult film. Those who read and follow the Feminist Sexpert likely are not shocked by this information; but, yes, she saw and immensely enjoyed Ken’s work in a scene for See Him Fuck, one of the first porn studios that showcases and highlights the male form in all scenes.

“This is a male-focused line for straight audiences,” he explained. “I enjoyed the fact that I as the male talent could be showcased (“And how!”–Feminist Sexpert edit and interjection), and I had no problem being rimmed by my beautiful scene partner.”

Both together and separately, Ken and Barbie Feels have appeared in a number of high class productions for studios such as Bellesa House, AdultTime, Team Skeet, and Sensex.

“Things in adult are moving in the right direction,” he said. “We see more films for women and couples, more arty films with plots that are well-written. It’s not just about seeing hot people fuck.”

Apart from his adult work, Ken Feels has experience as a published writer, model, bartender, stand up comic, and actor. Well read and spoken, he is truly a Renaissance gentleman–one well equipped to give us ladies the feels.

“I’ve always loved women–I never went through the ‘girls are icky’ phase,” he reveals. “And I have two messages for the ladies reading this.”

“No. 1: Thank you so much for your great support of my work,” he said. “No. 2: Don’t be ashamed to explore and enjoy your sexuality.”

The Feminist Sexpert believes that you will enjoy your sexuality far, far more if you check out Ken Feels! Check out his OnlyFans, Insta, and other links at https://linktr.ee/kenfeels.

The Scarlet Goddess: The Feminist Sexpert Interviews Avery Jane

With the beauty and natural grace of a ballet dancer and the strength and spirit of a fighter, Avery Jane is an adult actress and content creator who deserves another title: industry innovator.

This classically beautiful ebony goddess has the brains to back up the image, as is indicated by her use of a decorative A as part of her brand name; a literary reference to The Scarlet Letter, the classic Nathaniel Hawthorne tale of a woman persecuted because of her extramarital affair.

“I read the book in school and became a big fan. This is why the scarlet letter A speaks to me,” she said. “I related to it, because I’ve always been a sexual person–and I realized that, as long ago as that book was written, sexual women still get shamed all the time.”

Yet unlike the doomed heroine in The Scarlet Letter, Avery is proud of her sexuality. Her fans are proud as well, with her female fans sending her thank you letters for helping them grasp and realize their own sexual power.

“This is who I am,” she said. “I’m a passionate person. I want to reclaim the word whore.”

Her strength comes through in her performances, such as in the erotic wrestling scene, Avery Jane vs Jason Michaels for Evolved Fights (which was her 4th scene for the wrestling site). In this unique series, women wrestle against male opponents and come out on top!

“I like to be playfully rough in these fights,” she said. “You can still be pretty and cute, and strong enough to win the fight.”

Avery first perfected this balance of dominance and delicacy through her early career as a ballet dancer, and later as an exotic dancer.

“Dancing gave me a flexibility to stretch,” she said, “and allowed me to be confident in my body.”

It also gave her the discipline and creative control to achieve great diversity early in her career. She oversees an official site/ultimate fan club at AllofAveryJane.com for everything Avery, including exclusive photosets, videos, and more; and an OnlyFans page, onlyFans.com/averyjane. She writes her own scene descriptions and loves to come up with creative concepts and costumes for her content; infusing much of her content with an alt theme and also handpicking her costars, like favorite actor Charles Dera in her latest scene, “Ebony Babe Avery Jane Loves To Fuck Charles LIVE” from her live show with Dera in July for Cherry Pimps. She performed scenes for All Anal, PervCity, Cherry Pimps, Reality Kings, Evolved Fights, Evolved Lez, Aziani, Dogfart, Slut Inspection, and kink.com. And Avery was featured on the pages of the August 2021 issue of AVN Magazine and guested on Naked News the same month.

But Avery does draw the line at race play, or material that is disempowering for women. She believes that women should stick together in this business, praising the intelligence and strength of her sister performers. When this proud pansexual does a girl/girl scene, she likes to infuse the scene with a sense of realism–showing how women really make love. She is also mindful of the stereotypes and pay disparities facing people of color. And she aims to change them.

“I’m here to make a difference,” she said.

One other thing about Avery; she’s a total sweetheart and immediate sisterfriend who deserves every bit of her success.

Buy Avery Jane’s 100+ videos a la carte on ManyVids at AveryJaneXXX.com. Find out why Avery has almost a million views on Pornhub by liking and subscribing to her porn star verified page pornhub.com/pornstar/avery-jane and over 38k subscribers to her XVideos xvideos.com/model-channels/avery_jane. Look for her on cam on CamSoda at camsoda.com/averyjane. Find all her social media and premium links at allmylinks.com/averyjanexos.

“I want to tell all of the ladies out there to seize and enjoy their sexuality,” said Avery Jane, “just as men have been doing for years.”

The Feminist Sexpert agrees. And may I suggest also that we make every Scarlet A into an A plus!

A Friend to Eve: RIP Phil Harvey

Phil Harvey Adam & Eve Warehouse Expansion Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Once upon a time, a rather bashful but infinitely curious college girl and aspiring romance writer–one who thought she’d never care much for porn–saw an ad for a movie in Playgirl magazine that looked too good to resist. They used the man’s image to sell the movie–imagine that–and it actually looked romantic as well as smexy! The movie was released by Adam and Eve, and its title was Hardbound–a hardcore romantic comedy starring Nina Hartley and Dale Dabone, and written by Deborah Chinn.

When she ordered this film, she was told she she’d get a bonus motion picture entitled Party Girl Pick Up.

“Um, I don’t forsee myself enjoying Party Girl Pickup, somehow,” she informed the operator, who helped her find a classy couples feature more in line with what she would enjoy. That film was The Dinner Party, an erotic classic directed by Cameron Grant.

On many an evening, while up late studying, she sat on the phone line with A&E operators, asking for more good porn suggestions and regaling the patient ladies with endless suggestions about how to make better porn for women–all the while assuring them they were on the right track! She’s sure they were most relieved.

Under the leadership of Phil Harvey, who passed away Dec. 3, Adam and Eve was a signature creator and releaser of premiere films for women and couples; releasing Candida Royalle’s landmark masterworks of feminist porn, along with compilation tapes consisting of scenes that showcased the beauty of the male form, created especially for the female viewer. Now directors like Kay Brandt and Jacky St. James and writers like Selena Kitt helm Adam and Eve productions, We ladies owe a real debt of gratitude to Adam and Eve, for finally giving Eve something decent to watch pornwise!

Harvey was also a well-known warrior for free speech and AIDS awareness issues; and often, at the head of Adam and Eve tapes, one would see ceremonious adverts for the Free Speech Coalition, that featured dialogues regarding the importance of free speech–voiced over images of downtown Washington DC and some shots of the Lincoln monument. I often wondered how ol’ Abe would feel about being featured in a porn flick–who knows? He mighta liked it.

Postscript: A little while later that gal evolved to become the Feminist Sexpert. Thank you, Mr. Phil Harvey.

Save Our Studs: Why the Better Use of Male Talent Supports Everyone

I call it SES. Sexy Elbow Syndrome.

I rent a XXX feature in anticipation of seeing my favorite male porn hunks. Only to see their arms and elbows as they clasp and support the focal point of the scene: The woman.

It is very rare in porn that the male form is highlighted in any aspect. You still don’t see them on too many DVD covers, and their names always appear behind those of the actresses–if at all. Sometimes they don’t bother to choose male talent based on looks or charm, but simply on if they can last the duration of The Bohemian Rhapsody or thereabouts in the wood-wielding department.

We’ve all seen it, Ladies–and suffered through it. You’re watching a flick starring your favorite hunk and you think, “When is the camera going to focus on him? Oh wait a minute, the angle is changing, the lens is shifting in his general direction, yes yes ye–nope, denied. Urgghhh!”

Or you watch a flick starring your man’s favorite starlet–and when you take a good look at her possibly hygienically impaired co-star, you’re suddenly thanking every saint you know that the camera does not focus on him.

This first occurred to me when I developed my first porn crush, on Gerald Pike. Pike was an absolutely stunning ex-stripper and Playgirl model who appeared in at least 157 films, including my all-time favorite XXX romance, Immortal Desire.

Now just look at that man. He should be featured on the cover of, like, every erotic movie made, even those in which he does not appear. Plus he is Australian, and his deeply voiced accent is to die for! Yet of his 157-film oeuvre, he has appeared on only four DVD covers–Immortal Desire, Homo Erectus (in which he plays a caveman), The Fuckingdales and Reverse Gang Bang–in which he has one big ol’ sex scene with 10 women. And where was I on casting day?

He did appear in a starring vehicle, Sex Part One, in which he shows some real acting chops while portraying an actor trying to make it in Hollywood. But without knowing this, I walked right by the movie the first time I saw it at an adult video store, because (shocker) he did not appear on the cover. And he was the star. Any semblance of sense, this does not make.

With his looks and acting skill, Gerry Pike should have been the male Jenna Jameson–or, at the very least, the subject of his own spotlight DVDs. And if he had been female, he surely would have been.

I had much better luck with my second big crush and all-time fave, Jean Val Jean. A sweet, beautiful man with whom I had the pleasure of conversing during my time at PlaygirlTV. Playgirl had the good sense to showcase this stunner in a number of showcase titles–and on a number of classy box covers; as did several other studios that produced couples fare. Ah, but alas; Playgirl is gone, and Jean has retired–though he is now enjoying a fruitful mainstream career in movies and TV.

Along the same lines–has anyone heard of Damian Duke? This beautiful blond British dynamo appeared in specialty titles in the early 2000s. Arriving on the scene in his early 20s, Duke happily submitted to many a dominatrix in a number of his films. In others, he performed alongside BBW women and older ladies, always showing them the utmost respect and investing true passion in his performances. He retired much too quickly for the Feminist Sexpert’s taste–but perhaps with more money and acclaim, he would have stayed.

We find a most interesting case in Ryan Ryder, the Scottish pantomime actor who was fired from a production of Cinderella, where he was portraying Prince Charming, when it was discovered that he was making hardcore films.

If Ryder had been a female, a major porn studio would have cast him immediately in a XXX version of Cinderella. Instead the gorgeous Scot hunk appeared at first in motion pictures such as Big Tits in School and College Whores. Now, in a refreshing twist, he was eventually cast in fairy tale porn, playing Peter Pan in an Axel Braun film, and as a sexy superspy in Spyfall and a British lord in Down On Abby. And in 2015 came Ryan Ryder: Stud on Tour. Now that’s more like it!

On another positive note, more and more hot male stars–like my current faves and muses, Nathan Bronson, David Lee and Jay Smooth–are showing sexy photos and clips, along with custom vids, to ardent followers through OnlyFans accounts.

Still and all, attractive male actors have yet to reign as stars in straight XXX stars. I have heard a good number of women voice my complaint–others even watch gay porn in an effort to 1. see men 2 see attractive men, even. And indeed, I have heard male talent say that they do gay porn, not because they like having sex with men, but because they make more money and get more attention by doing so.

What’s a woman to do? Well Ladies, for starters….

1. SOS–Support Our Studs. Support their Only Fans, write letters to porn studios requesting your guy’s presence in their films, follow them on social media, buy their pics and customs. For that matter…

2.  Buy your porn. If you owned a sandwich shop, you probably wouldn’t appreciate someone just running into your store, grabbing a hot turkey with cheese, and running out the door without paying. How is your stud going to pay for his workout equipment and styling products, if you’re bootlegging his movies? Same difference.

3. Start fan pages for your faves, helping them spread their fame.

4. Write and direct your own films. But that’s a whole other blog…

Down with SES! Up (most literally) with SOS! Support Our Studs!

Ho! Ho! Hot! Feminist Erotica for the Holidays

Ah, the holidays. A time of warmth, love, downright jolly sentiments, and really good festive feminist erotica! The Feminist Sexpert is proud to debut her newest book, Of Mischief and Mistletoe: Scandal at Holiday House, now available through Scandalous Publishing!

Beyond showcasing her sentimental Yuletide tale of male brothels for women, a sexist politician who gets his comeuppance from an unbeatable team of his feminist philanthropist wife and a tough lady private detective who wields a candy cane that doubles as a weapon of self-defense and has a hot male secretary on the payroll, I’m also proud to spotlight Scandalous Publishing.

Read on for my interview with Stephanie Vega, publisher in chief of this groundbreaking feminist publishing house–one where all titles sexually and socially empower women.

1. Stephanie, I’m so proud to be an author with Scandalous Publishing, a proud publisher of feminist erotica. What do you want people to know about Scandalous, and the amazing books it produces?

We live by one philosophy: We aren’t your mother’s romance novels. Our heroines never take the backseat to the men in their lives. They’re free and strong, and our books never adhere to the old trope that sexually empowered women get ‘punished.’

2. Your newest release just happens to be mine, and I’m very pleased to bring Mischief and Mistletoe: Scandal at Holly House, a feminist erotic mystery, to our readers. Tell us more about it!

One of the things Scandalous Publishing is known for is how our heroines flip the script on double standards of the past. Mischief and Mistletoe does just that. Its setting in a ‘brothel’ where men service women is just the tip of the iceberg in that respect. So let’s just say there’s political intrigue, lots of sex, and the good ol’ boys get what’s coming to them in the end.

3. What are some of your other great new releases?

One of our writers, Amber Monroe, is masterful at femdom/cuckolding tales. But in ‘Edge of Night,’ she gives a series of short stories that are not only erotic, but have those twist endings. Think of it as an erotic version of ‘The Twilight Zone.’ Response has been good, so a sequel may be coming.

4. Scandalous Publishing is an offshoot of Scandalous Women, a signature, sex positive feminist online magazine. Tell us more about SW, where I am a proud writer!

Scandalous Women is Cosmopolitan Magazine on steroids. In fact, a reviewer once described it as ‘for the Cosmo Girl’s trashier sister.’ I think a better descriptor would be ‘for the Cosmo Girl’s trashier and more socially aware sister.’ Though we have a limited budget, we like to think this is what Playgirl could have become.

The Feminist Sexpert Interviews Erika Lust

From the Erika Lust film Wanderlust, credit goes to Kristy

A true pioneer and creative leader in the world of feminist porn, director Erika Lust released her first film in 2004 and hasn’t slowed down since–directing a vast series of creative, ethically produced XXX features that also happen to be smoking hot. She has won more than 50 industry awards for her artistic interpretations of the female gaze, and expanded her empire to include room for four content sites and ample creative opportunities for people of all genders, colors and sexualities to express their message and vision. And now, Erika Lust brings us something Else.

Else Cinema is a pioneering softcore channel that showcases romance and sensuality in a highly artistic filmed forum.

The Feminist Sexpert is honored to interview one of her greatest inspirations and role models: Erika Lust.

FS: Erika Lust, in your auspicious career as an erotic film director, you’ve covered a great deal of territory in terms of film types and genres–and now, you’re exploring the softcore realm with Else. What inspired you to host a special channel specifically for softcore films?

EL: “Not everyone wants to, or needs to see the more explicit sex scenes. Some people are very visual and others prefer to use their own imagination. There are many different ways to be sexual and it doesn’t always include intercourse, some don’t need any visual stimulation at all! Else Cinema is for the many fans of my work who want to experience sex and sexuality from a different perspective. It’s about engaging all your senses, and more about how sex feels rather than how it looks.

On this same line, I am about to launch my brand new audio erotica content at Else Cinema! Created hand by hand with BLAZE, I wanted for each and every story of the Else Cinema Audio Erotica to be sex positive, safe, consensual, and inclusive – just as much as the films. I see audio erotica as a conscious, empowering, and above all personal way to consume erotica and I hoped to bring the high standards of our audiovisual storytelling to the world of audio sex stories. Else Cinema Audio Erotica will be available starting from August and will be for free for premium subscribers.”

FS: As a softcore fan myself, I love the genre because it tends to feature more tenderness and more of a story than hardcore. What challenges does this pose to you as a filmmaker? And do you feel that softcore can be more romantic and respectful in content, for both performers and viewers?

EL: “I’ve always paid attention to make sure to capture tenderness and romance and, in general, chemistry. Real connection is sexy! But, being sex positive also means understanding that not everyone is turned on by the same thing and that, above all, there are no better sexual experiences than others, as long as they are based on consent.

I personally don’t believe that hardcore porn is necessarily less respectful or has less of a story than softcore. We can have consensual and respectful sexual relationships whether they are romantic, kinky, or anything in between! This is what I strive to show through all my sites XConfessions, Lust Cinema, and Else Cinema; that no matter what the type of sex, what really matters is equal pleasure, honest communication, and mutual consent.”

FS: Else also features films from other directors, an auspicious list of feminist directors that are widely known. How did you select the films?

EL: “It’s important for me to work only with directors who have the same values and create ethical content across all my platforms. I’ve been lucky enough to work with some amazing directors over the years so it’s easy to find new work within this indie erotica community. With the help of my team, I personally handpick each month new films to license which are coming from a growing movement of directors who are changing the industry from within, by positively portraying human sexuality and shaping a relevant change in gender perceptions.”

FS: How did you plan the categories of Else films, as I know that the themes are diverse.

EL: “When deciding on the categories we were thinking of how people search for movies and also what are the most popular fantasies. The categories are representative of the variety of content Else Cinema provides.”

FS: Erika, we have to have a word about your kilt movie. For more years than I can count, I myself have purchased the men in kilts calendar each and every year. Thank you for this movie–what inspired it?

EL: “As all of the films on XConfessions it was inspired by a confession sent in by a fan. I had such a good time filming this movie on a hot summer day! It’s always interesting to read the confessions people send in because you realize that almost anything can be sexy or a creative inspiration. I think many of us have wondered what is under those kilts… I love playing with those fantasies and making them come to life.”

FS: Would you like to give updates on your other lines, like XConfessions and Lust Cinema?

EL: “I recently released my first South Asian inspired short film for XConfessions, The Saree Shop, which I co-directed with none other than acclaimed performer and sex educator Kali Sudhra! It was an amazing experience making this and I learnt a lot about the saree and South Asian traditions from Kali and Kajal, which I’m forever grateful for. I urge you to watch the behind the scenes video and Kajal’s interview video to hear more about their own experiences.

As for Lust Cinema, we just released the first episode of season 2 of Primary – an original series directed by our Lust Cinema exclusive contract director Casey Calvert. Following the success of the first season, Primary 2 continues to develop the stories of two non-monogamous couples’ journeys of love and lust. It’s a beautifully shot inside look at the highs and lows of modern day relationships through the lens of polyamorous millennials.

Finally, I would also encourage you to check out my Lust Zine as well. The zine is uncensored, meaning that guest writers and myself cover everything related to sex, kink, sexuality, intimacy, filmmaking, feminism and the adult industry… totally uncensored.”

FS: No question here–I just want to thank you for being a pioneer and a continuing inspiration for women in the erotic film industry–and for always being so supportive of other women in the industry, myself included. I know we’ll talk again soon.:)

EL: “Thank you for reaching out and for watching my films!”

A Ray of Light for the Femme Porn Fan: Goodbye Joey Ray

With the dawn of a new century came the dawn of another sort for feminist porn fans; the emergence of a new breed of male porn star. Gorgeous. Young. Seductive. Seemingly custom made to fulfill their wildest fantasies.

Joey Ray, a strapping, muscular, savagely handsome man, was one of those hunks who teased and titillated female viewers with his starring roles in a number of femme porn titles. In fact, in an industry in which few men ‘star’ in much of anything, Ray was the focal centerpiece of the 2006 femme porn staple, Ranch House Lust; a film directed by the brilliant Nina Lennox for the signature femme porn studio known as Inpulse/Lennox Films.

In Ranch House Lust, a western romance, this strapping cowboy presented his perfect body for the female viewer, the camera lingering on him as he made passionate love to his leading ladies. This was a tour de force of beefcake for women’s eyes only.

Ray also appeared in at least four titles produced by Playgirl: Deep Indulgence, Soaked in Sex, Explosive Fantasies and 2 Hot 2 Handle–and as memory serves, it was.

Another look at Ray’s filmography reveals titles from a myriad of couples-oriented studios, films including Women On Top and For Women Only. And while character names such as The Pool Boy may not seem revolutionary to some, it cannot be overstated that Joey Ray (cited as an influence by current leading adult stars like Seth Gamble) played a role in the women’s erotic revolution; a movement that still continues today, as we continue to demand quality erotic films for the female gaze.

Joey Ray was a troubled muse who took his own life last weekend. His passing gave me pause to reflect on a web review I once composed of Ranch House Lust; one that comically referenced another romance involving a cowboy.

“Joey Ray,” I wrote. “I wish I could quit you!”

On second thought–no, I don’t.
