MAC LOVE: Get Ready To Feel All Loved Up

M.A.C. Cosmetics has always been my favorite brand of make-up, discovered when a make-up artist made up my face for a t.v. show, and managed to cover my flaws (and a giant zit in the middle of my forehead) from the hi-def cameras. But what I always liked most about M.A.C. was their lipsticks. The color is so saturated, lasts forever, and their spectacular reds give your lips a dramatic, so sexy look. I don’t think I ever receive more compliments than when I wear M.A.C.’s Ruby Woo, which comes in little travel size tubes for ten bucks.

Their pink lipsticks are sweet too, like this one, called “Invite Intrigue”, modeled by moi. (I know, I was trying to take a nice pic, but it ended up looking all porno.) And yes, my lips are #allnatural, which was a problem since I started wearing lipstick at age 14 and creepy, married guys I was babysitting for hit on me.

M.A.C,  short for “Make-up Artist Cosmetics” has always been considered one of the coolest, most radical cosmetic companies. Ahead of their time, their “M.A.C. AIDS Fund was established in 1994 to support people affected by HIV/AIDS globally, and has raised over $400 million through the sales of their Viva Glam lipsticks. Donating 100% of their profits, they Viva Glam line sells out immediately when the lipstick line is designed in collaboration with glam celebrities including Lady Gaga, Madonna, and Rihanna.

They also create brilliant ad campaigns such as “All ages, all races, all sexes”, and have recently announced their latest campaign called “Love Mac.” “Crank up the dial to supreme sexiness and get the look of lust with feline-flicked siren-red matte lips that are begging to be kissed,” they say. Oh, yeah.

My favorites from the collection are below. Oh, and anthropologically, red lips are a “sex signal” and create a sexual, chemical response in your admirer…
