World Record Orgy Attempt Fails To Get Enough People

The attempt to break the world record for “the largest orgy in human history” came and went, but it didn’t break the world record of 500 people/250 couples. The orgy attempted to break the record was set in 2006 in Tokyo, but this time only 275 people showed up. But it was all good; just because everyone didn’t show up doesn’t mean those who did didn’t have the group sex of their lives! Even though the world record wasn’t broken, a good time was had by all the couples who got it on with each other–and their husbands and wives and girlfriends who got it on with other people’s husbands and wives and girlfriends. Pass the lube.

Drama ensued after Stephen Colbert joked about the planned orgy on his show (and the post orgy clean-up), and the mortified Embassy Suites hotel in Las Vegas pulled out. Then the couples (and thruples) orgy was moved to The Erotic Heritage Museum, which had issues with permitting. The organizers, Menage Life, which is a swinger organization based in Denver, finally moved the huge sex party to a sex club, The Green Door in Las Vegas. (Named after the notorious porn movie from 1972.)

According to The Las Vegas Weekly, Menage Life’s owner Pearl Derriere, who has an awesome name btw said “Promoting sex positivity and destigmatizing consensual activity is a guiding principal of Menage Life.” She noted that the publicity was a “double-edge blade,” and said “we want to change the world, but we have to tell the world.” Relax, its just sex with hundreds and hundreds of people.

To get into the party, couples paid $200.00, and single women $25.00. It was a couples only situation and no single men were allowed in to keep it from being creepy. “Everyone must have a partner to participate in the world record attempt, no exceptions,” they said. But they also said “You can play with just them or whoever you want, providing there is established mutual consent.” (The organization provided “orgy monitors.”) “Anyone violating the consent of another guest will be ejected immediately along with the group,” they warned beforehand. And group sex it was! “The more the merrier. “Bring all your favorite play partners and let’s boogie”, they said.

Instead of a wine-tasting weekend, it was wife-swapping with a little “wife-tasting.”

In the end, there’s always next year; Menage Life is already planning the next one in Vegas for 2019, and there’s plenty of time to find a venue or hotel that won’t kick them out once they find out 500 people will be screwing en mass. These people know how to party.
