Survey Says: People Who Make Their Beds Have More Sex!

I had a boyfriend once who got mad at me because I didn’t make my bed perfectly neat every single day like he did. I like things clean and neat, but I’m not so anal retentive that I have to make my bed on a daily basis. And besides, when you live alone, who cares?

Oh, and what did I learn from this relationship? That I can’t go out with someone so anal that he also got mad at me for putting the toilet paper on the roll with the paper rolling upwards. (Yet he was the one who wanted the anal sex.)

The people at Sleepopolis.com, who make really nice mattresses, pillows, and sheets, have conducted a survey called “Natural Make Up Your Bed Day”, the differences between those who make up their bed and those who don’t. The survey, conducted by OnePoll, was conducted with 2,000 people between August 28th and September 7th, 2018.

It found that the “bed makers” had sex three times a week while the “non-bed makers” had sex two times a week! It also revealed that 42% of the bed makers said it would be a turn-off if a potential partner left the sheets untucked. I’d rather be with someone who is actually good in bed rather than someone who didn’t tuck it.

The survey also found that bed makers were morning people while non bed makers were night people. Also, bed makers woke up 16 minutes earlier, giving them time to make the bed! And the super human bed makers didn’t use an alarm! (I only wish I could do that.)

Recent studies have found that the more sleep you get, the more sex you will have. Also, the better sleep you get, the better sex you’ll have. I’m going to bed now so I can get up early and make the bed, so I can have more sex.

Results of the study:

People make their bed are more likely to:

  • Be a morning person
  • Wake up without an alarm
  • Have sex 3 times per week
  • Nap for 43 minutes on average
  • Work in health or technology fields
  • Enjoy jazz music, watch “House Hunters” and romantic movies
  • Be adventurous, confident, sociable and high-maintenance

People who don’t make their bed are more likely to:

  • Be a night person
  • Snooze the alarm clock in the morning
  • Have sex 2 times per week
  • Work in business or financial fields
  • Enjoy rock music and watch “Seinfeld” and comedy movies
  • Be shy, curious, and sarcastic
