Condom Vending Machine Coming To NYC

Lifestyles Condoms will debut is condom vending machine in Washington Square Park on Friday, November 18th.

In the name of sex education, people will be asked to answer 5 questions about sexual health to receive condom samples. Questions range from stats on STIs to contraception and the history of condoms. And we love their “Smart is Sexy” campaign slogan! (It’s much more positive than “Stupid is not sexy.”)

Sample Questions include:

— During the renaissance, condoms were primarily made of?

–True or False: STIs are at an all-time low.

–Of the 9 million STIs contracted per year in the U.S., experts found the highest occurrence in which age group?

Answers: Linen, False, and 15-24-year-olds.

Lifestyles has a bunch of condom options for guys who complain that they “can’t feel anything.” Their Skyn Elite, for example provides a more “skin to skin” feeling and is extra lubed “to make you feel better,” they say. Studies have shown higher satisfaction rates among condom users when they lube it up. Their Ultra Sensitive condom is “like wearing nothing at all.” This is due to a flared tip that gives more “headroom.”

For any New Yorkers taking a walk in the park on Friday from 10 am – 6:0 pm, check the machine out. Who knows, you might meet someone willing to try out your new condoms with!
