Hooters Now Delivering to NYC

Hooters will now deliver food to residents in New York City. The New York Post reports that Hooters “hopes their delivery service will entice embarrassed eaters” who don’t want to be seen in one of their “Breastaurants.”

New York apartment dwellers, as well as tourists, will soon be able to have those tasty wings (the second reason they go to Hooters) delivered to their doors. Terry Marks, the CEO of the incredibly successful chain of 497 boob-themed eateries featuring cute girls in boobilicious t-shirts and orange short shorts, told the Post that “Many people wouldn’t step foot in our restaurants, but they want our product.”

Unfortunately, for the horndogs dialing up from their NYC apartments, deliveries will not be made by Hooters girls. Imagine the sexual harassment that would happen knocking on some creepy guy’s door in a Hooter’s outfit. Every perv in town would be ordering, hoping that a Hooters girl would “hand deliver.” The food will instead be delivered by outsourced delivery services such as Door Dash, that employ mostly male deliverymen.

The chain is trying to appeal to millennials who are not fans of the old school male chauvenist paradigm of dressing young girls up in sexually exploitative outfits who serve greasy wings to horny, middle-aged married guys.

The last time I went to the Hooters in midtown Manhattan, I felt sorry for the poor girls who had to put up with a table full of leering Wall Street traders, blatantly acting jerky and being sexually suggestive. As one girl bent over to serve them beers, her Hooters fell out of her Hooters t-shirt as one dork asked “Could I can a selfie with your Hooters?”

The restaurant has a notoriously bad reputation for men behaving badly (including sexual harassment and stalking) as innocent young college girls serve them and cheer for them as they walk into the place. “Delivery solves the polarizing issue the brand has had,” the company’s CEO stated. The company plans to “significantly” increase their home delivery food business.

In 2017, the company opened “Hoots” in Cicero, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. The restaurant was opened to highlight their signature wings and features male and female servers wearing non-sexy t-shirts. I’m really waiting for the day when the male counterpart of Hooters opens, a “Dickaraunt” where hot guys with no shirts and little shortie shorts serve food to female customers. They could call it “Weiners.”
